Tell Congress: Reject POTUS Budget for Parks

The Trump administration is proposing a 13% cut to the National Park Service’s budget, which would bring the agency’s funding to its lowest levels since World War II.

For years, the Park Service has struggled with underfunding even as visitation has increased. Over the last five years, the Park Service has lost 11% of its staff, while the backlog of repair needs at parks has grown to more than $11 billion. Learn more.

The administration’s budget, if enacted, would very likely lead to closed campgrounds and ranger stations, reduced services, and so few rangers at the parks that you could be hard pressed to find one to help you with your visit. But Congress has the power to reject this proposal and instead fund our national parks the way they deserve and need. That’s why we need your help.

Support our national parks today by taking a couple of minutes to write your members of Congress. Tell them how much you love our national parks. Ask them to provide parks with the resources they need.
